Interlibrary Loan
This tutorial covers the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services that are available to BrandmanUniversity
students, faculty, and staff for when particular books or articles are not
available through Leatherby Libraries’ print or electronic collections. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for information on ILLiad Interlibrary Loan policies, processing time, fines, FAQs, and who to contact for assistance.
What is ILLiad?
ILLiad is the electronic system you use to request an item through Interlibrary
Loan. The name ILLiad can be thought of as an acronym for InterLibrary
Loan internetaccessible
database. You must set up an
ILLiad account to be able to request items through Interlibrary Loan.
Advantages of
ILLiad
The following are advantages to setting
up an ILLiad account:
Entering your personal
information into the ILLiad system means you will not have to supply the
information again when making future requests.
Having your e-mail and regular
mail addresses on file with Interlibrary Loan enables us to notify you
promptly and deliver materials accurately when your request arrives in the
library.
By specifying your Chapman
username and a password of your choosing, you will have secure access to
information about your requests. You will also be able to review the list
of items you have requested in the past.
Setting Up Your ILLiad Account Setting up an ILLiad account takes a few minutes and
requires that you know your Chapman ID#. If you do not know or have access to
your ID#, please contact your campus.
To set
up your ILLiad Interlibrary Loan account, begin at the Leatherby Libraries homepage,
